A. Quickly configure the network for the battery-powered camera
Log in to the "Littlelf Smart" APP, turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile phone, and grant the corresponding permission to the "Littlelf Smart" APP.
Click the "Add" button in the dialog box (Figure 1). If the dialog box does not pop up, you can click the "+" icon or "Add Device" button on the home page, and the camera will be searched (Figure 2); then click the "Add" icon at the end of the camera to add it (Figure 3).
Enter the Wi-Fi password and click "Next" (the camera only supports 2.4GHz) (Figure 4).
Wait for the camera to automatically complete network configuration and click "Done" (Figures 5 and 6).
B. Configure the camera network using a QR code
On the home page of the Littlelf Smart APP, click the "+" or "Add Device" button (Figure 1).
Select camera type "B1" (Figure 2).
Confirm the camera indicator status and click "Next" (Figure 3).
Enter the Wi-Fi password and click "Next" (the camera only supports 2.4GHz) (Figure 4).
Aim the QR code generated on the phone screen at the camera (from 15–20 cm away). After hearing "Scan QR code success", click "Hear the beep" (Figure 5).
Wait for the camera to automatically complete network configuration and click "Done" (Figure 6).
Storage Methods
There are two options for video storage:
- A. Cloud storage — You can follow the steps to subscribe to the cloud storage package. After enabling the cloud storage function, the camera will automatically save the video to the cloud, so that you can view the video recording anytime and anywhere.
- B. SD card storage (local storage) — An SD card is required for local storage. Insert the SD card as shown. After the camera identifies the SD card, the recorded video will be stored on the SD card (the SD card needs to be purchased separately).
Installation Methods
Consider the following factors when installing the camera:
- It is recommended that the camera be installed at a height of 2–3 meters (7–10 ft), which is the best PIR detection range.
- It is recommended to choose a location with stable and strong Wi-Fi signal coverage to install the camera.
- Do not point the camera lens toward any strong light.
- Do not install the camera in a dark environment while the subject being shot is in a well-lit area, as this may reduce the image effect; to ensure the best image effect, it is recommended to install the camera in a lighting environment similar to the subject.
- Do not expose the power port directly to water or moisture.
- Do not install the camera in a place where rain or snow will directly impact the lens.
- Do not put the camera directly into the water. The camera is waterproof with an IP65 rating and can work normally in the rain, snow and other conditions.
Installing the camera
Paste the installation template to the location where the camera needs to be installed and use a 15/64" (6 mm) drill bit to drill holes according to the screw holes in the installation template. If the camera is to be installed on a hard surface such as brick, concrete, or stucco, please insert anchors into the screw holes. If it is installed on a wooden surface, you don't need to pre-drill holes and you can just directly use the screws to fix the camera bracket.
Use screws to fix the camera bracket (screws included) (Figure 1).
Screw the camera onto the bracket. Keep the camera on and complete the network configuration (Figure 2).
Adjust the camera angle for the best view by turning the adjustment knob on the bracket clockwise to fix the camera (Figure 3).

Installing the solar panel
Install the solar panel in a location that receives the most sunlight throughout the year. The solar panel only needs a few hours of direct sunlight each day to power your camera. The power supply of the solar panel is affected by weather conditions, seasonal changes and geographical location. (Ideal angle = local latitude + 5°.)
Install the solar panel bracket using the installation template and screws provided in the package.
Install the solar panel on the bracket.

Adjust the angle of the solar panel by loosening the adjustment knob on the bracket to receive the most direct sunlight. Then re-tighten the adjustment knob to secure the panel.

Plug the Type-C power cord from the solar panel into the Type-C port of the camera. Check the charging indicator status of the camera; if the charging indicator is solid white, it means the solar panel is charging the camera; if the charging indicator light is off, it means the camera battery is fully charged or the camera is not being charged — please go to the live screen of the battery camera in the Littlelf Smart App to confirm the specific status of the battery.
Make sure the camera is plugged in all the way and that the waterproof wire cover protects the interface between the camera and the solar panel.
Notes about the solar panel:
- Do not install the solar panel completely horizontally, to avoid the accumulation of dust and other objects on the solar panel surface, which will affect the charging effect. It is recommended to install the solar panel tilted to reduce unnecessary charging interference, thus ensuring the best charging effect.
- Do not install the camera upside down (avoid the Type-C charging port not facing up).
- The solar panel cannot be blocked — even if a small part is blocked, it will also affect the charging effect.
- Wipe the dust and foreign matter off the solar panel surface regularly.
- The solar panel operates at ambient temperatures from 0°C to 45°C (32–113°F) and will not charge the camera at temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F). In this case, please bring the camera indoors and use the adapter to charge it.
Camera Instructions for Use
The device is not designed for 24/7 operation or monitoring; instead, it is designed to record motion events and view them remotely in real-time if needed.
- The battery is built-in — please do not remove it from the camera.
- Please use a standard 5V/1.5A charger and the equipped solar panel to charge the camera.
- Please use the camera in the temperature range of -20–50°C.
- Please charge the camera in the temperature range of 0–45°C.
- Keep the USB charging port dry, clean and free of debris; use the charger to charge the camera, and cover the USB charging port with a rubber plug after it is fully charged.
- Do not charge, use or store the camera near any fire source (such as a fire or heater).
- Do not use the camera if it smells strange, is hot, discolored, or deformed. If the camera is in use or charging, turn the camera off and stop using it immediately.
- When disposing of discarded cameras, be sure to comply with local electronics recycling and disposal laws.
Common Problems
Q1: The camera doesn't turn on
- Long press the camera Power Button for 3 seconds and make sure that the Power Button is pressed.
- Use the Type-C USB cable to charge the camera, wait about 3 minutes, and check whether the charging indicator on the camera is solid white. If the charging indicator of the camera is solid white, long press the Power Button for 3 seconds; if it turns on normally at this time, it indicates that the camera could not be turned on due to insufficient power — please fully charge the camera. If the LED indicator on the camera has not lit up, please try to use another Type-C USB cable or charger to charge it; the charger needs to support 5V/1.5A.
- Long press the "Restart Button" of the camera for 5 seconds using the reset pin to manually power off the camera.
- Put the camera indoors before pressing the power button to turn it on, to avoid the camera failing to turn on due to the low outdoor temperature. The camera operating temperature is -4°F to 122°F / -20°C to 50°C.
Q2: Camera network configuration failed
If the camera indicator flashes red and the camera sounds "Ready to connect" after being turned on, the camera can normally configure the network. If the camera indicator flashes in other forms, please troubleshoot the camera as follows:
- Restore factory settings for the camera. (Reset method: long press the Power Button for 5 seconds when the camera is powered on.)
- Check whether the router password is correct. (Wi-Fi password, not APP account password.)
- Check whether the Wi-Fi signal of your router is 2.4GHz. If your router is set up to share one Wi-Fi account for 2.4GHz and 5GHz, please configure 2.4GHz and 5GHz network accounts for your router respectively. (For how to set up the router, refer to the router manual.)
- Check whether the Wi-Fi connected to the phone is 2.4GHz.
Q3: The Littlelf Smart APP home page shows the camera offline
- Adjust the position of the router to ensure that the router signal is strong and stable at the location where the camera is installed.
- Confirm that the Wi-Fi signal from the router can access the network normally.
